DESCRIPTION

Also known as HOT13_YEAST, HOT13. Required for the assembly or recycling of the small Tim proteins in the mitochondrial intermembrane, thereby participating in the import and insertion of multi-pass transmembrane proteins into the mitochondrial inner membrane. Probably acts by facilitating the formation of disulfide bonds in small Tim proteins. Interacts with the small Tim proteins TIM8, TIM9, TIM10, TIM12, and TIM13.
