DESCRIPTION

Also known as TRPC1_HUMAN, TRPC1, TRP1. Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Seems to be also activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Interacts with TRPC4AP (By similarity). Homotetramer and heterotetramer with TRPC4 and/or TRPC5 (PubMed:12032305). Interacts with TRPC4 and TRPC5 (By similarity). Interacts with ITPR3 (PubMed:10766822). Interacts with MX1 and RNF24 (PubMed:15757897, PubMed:17850865). Interacts with FKBP4 (PubMed:19945390).
