Also known as BACH1_MOUSE, Bach1. Transcriptional regulator that acts as repressor or activator, depending on the context (PubMed:8887638, PubMed:19170764). Binds to NF-E2 DNA binding sites (PubMed:8887638, PubMed:19170764). Plays important roles in coordinating transcription activation and repression by MAFK (PubMed:8887638). Together with MAF, represses the transcription of genes under the control of the NFE2L2 oxidative stress pathway (By similarity). Heterodimer of BACH1 and MAFK.
