DESCRIPTION

Also known as AMP_AMARE, AMP. Chitin-binding protein that inhibits the growth of the fungal pathogens B.cinerea, F.culmorum, H.sativum and A.consortiale, but not that of R.solani. Induces morphological changes in the fungal pathogens F.culmorum, H.sativum and R.solani, but not in A.consortiale and B.cinerea. Has antibacterial activity against the Gram-positive bacterium B.subtilis, but lacks antibacterial activity against the Gram-negative bacterium E.coli.
