DESCRIPTION

Also known as CSC1_ARATH, CSC1, OSCA1.2. Acts as an osmosensitive calcium-permeable cation channel (PubMed:24503647, PubMed:30382939). Specifically conducts cations including Ca(2+), K(+) and Na(+) in vitro. Inactivation or closure of the channel is calcium-dependent (PubMed:24503647). Mechanosensitive ion channel that converts mechanical stimuli into a flow of ions (PubMed:30382939). Homodimer.
