DESCRIPTION

Also known as TAF1L_HUMAN, TAF1L. May act as a functional substitute for TAF1/TAFII250 during male meiosis, when sex chromosomes are transcriptionally silenced. Can bind directly to TATA-box binding protein (TBP). Interacts (via bromo domains) with acetylated lysine residues on the N-terminus of histone H1.4, H2A, H2B, H3 and H4 (in vitro).
