Also known as RPA14_SCHPO, ker1. DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase I which synthesizes ribosomal RNA precursors. A14 seems to play a role in the stability of Pol I subunit A43 and association of rrn3 to Pol I. Component of the RNA polymerase I (Pol I) complex consisting of 14 subunits. Part of a Pol I subcomplex consisting of the subunits A14 and A43. Interacts with rpa43.
