DESCRIPTION

Also known as GCP4_HUMAN, TUBGCP4, 76P, GCP4. Gamma-tubulin complex is necessary for microtubule nucleation at the centrosome. Gamma-tubulin complex is composed of gamma-tubulin, TUBGCP2, TUBGCP3, TUBGCP4, TUBGCP5 and TUBGCP6. Interacts with NINL. Interacts with ATF5; the ATF5:PCNT:polyglutamylated tubulin (PGT) tripartite unites the mother centriole and the pericentriolar material (PCM) in the centrosome (PubMed:26213385).
