Also known as SCACT_ACEAC, SCACT. Utilizes succinyl-CoA to convert toxic acetate to acetyl-CoA and succinate. Required for growth on acetic acid and for resistance to high levels of acetic acid. Has also low activity with acetoacetate as substrate. Homodimer.
