DESCRIPTION

Also known as NUDT1_ROSHC, NUDIX1. Involved in a cytosolic pathway for the biosynthesis of free monoterpene alcohols that contribute to fragrance. Lacks terpene synthase activity, but has a diphosphohydrolase activity with geranyl diphosphate and farnesyl diphosphate as substrates. No activity with 8-oxo-dGTP and dGTP and unable to dephosphorylate geranyl phosphate to geraniol.
